This is where you store your buffers (soundfiles) for lloopp.
buffer_host accepts the following file types: aiff, sd2f, wave, nxts. mpegs (mp3) and mooov (quicktime) will be imported as aiff-files (does not save RAM). any other files will be loaded with a (second) file-dialogue, and will be noisy.
There are several ways to fill the buffers:
~ doubleclick in the purple (selected) line of the list labeled with "new" to load a soundfile into a buffer.
~doubleclick in the purple (selected) line that holds a soundfile-name to replace a soundfile.
~drag&drop a soundfile onto the list, this will read the file into the selected buffer.
~drag&drop a folder containing soundfiles onto the list, all soundfiles will be loaded.
~define soundfolder(s) containing your soundfiles to load soundfiles without dialogue: ((needs picture example))
~you may press clear at first to clear old or alien settings.
~press "f" in buffer_host and select a folder containing soundfiles. (repeat for more folders)
~ or (!!!), press "ff" and select a folder containing folders of soundfiles.
~the folder(s)-name will be selectable in the upper menu; the soundfile's name will be listed in the menu below after you selected a folder..
~these settings will be automatically stored (in lloopp.presets/filepathLLOOPP). make sure now and forever, that there is only one file called "filepathLLOOPP" on your harddisc.
~the dark-blue menu will get filled with the soundfiles in the folder specified by the menu above.
~there are a few lloopp-example samples, fill the menu with these pressing "||"
~ once you loaded some soundfiles, you may choose "write" from the presets_menu. this will save the soundbank.
the waveform-display will show an overview of the selected soundfile (left channel only, if it's a stereo-file). the button "n" left of it can be used to normalize a soundfile (affects RAM only).
~the size of the selected soundfile will be displayed in ms in the numberbox at the bottom. the number of channels in indicated with the bold number.
~choosing "view" on a selected soundfile, will open the buffer-window. no use of that except clicking and draging in the soundfile will show the position in ms in the bottom numberbox.
~choosing "clear-selected" from the menu on a selected soundfile, will clear this soundfile (this will free max memory, but do not save banks with buffers called buffer-#).
~choosing "write" from the menu on a selected soundfile, will write this soundfile to disc. useful if you recored into a buffer etc.
~choosing "clearall" from this menu will clear all buffers.
~when loading a bank that contains fewer buffers than currently loaded and "delete-the-rest" is active, all old buffers will be deleted, if "keep-the-rest" is active, old buffers outside the bank's range will be kept.
~choosing "subpatches" will open to the guts of buffer_host.
